The tendency of my eye in a sunset/sunrise shot is for my eyes to head straight for the background. But the background here looks a little soft, maybe even out of focus. It's not blurred enough to make it look intentional, so there's a cognitive dissonance where I'm not sure if I'm supposed to pay attention to the foreground or the sunset. I guess what I'm saying is: I feel a shallower depth of field or a deeper depth of field would either one make this shot stronger, but it's caught at an awkward point in the middle where I'm not sure what the intention is.
