Discovered the effect putting a light behind this card had while taking shots for the Macro challenge. Glad I didn't submit a shot of it last week!

Don't know what to tell you on this one bod. You did a great job with it. Ways to improve it? I don't have many ideas for you. Scantily clad women are always good, but I don't think you could fit one in. How 'bout we trade and you can be 101st and I'll be 12th. sound like a winner? It was a really nice shot and I'd have to say in my personal rankings vs. the challenge results, you're in just the right spot. Great job!! - BoB

Composition - Excellent composition. Its not remarkably interesting as is, but add the light behind it and it transforms this from computer guts to a futuristic looking cityscape. The little dots of light all over are very compelling. The long lights simulate neon or whatever we use in the future to replace neon. The little orange capacitors or whatever they are add a little color to this to make it a bit less sterile. The yellowish hue on the large white box on the left lower 3rd help warm it up as well.

Background - Really not an issue, the entire picture is the subject

Technical - You know your camera well. DOF is great, as far as it can be. The little capacitors or whatever in the foreground are slightly out of focus, but at this focal length, it has to be somewhat expected. Focus on the lighted parts is excellent. Perspective of the camera adds great visual perception by way of making everything in here seem enormous. I'm a huge fan of taking pictures upwards.

Processing - I don't know if much was done here or not. Whatever the case, its the right amount.

Overall - How in the hell did i give this only a 7? Must've been in the morning when I wasn't fully awake. My wife gave this a 9. I didn't remember seeing the picture at that point. I would've given it the same. This is a very cool shot making the insides of a computer seem like a city right out of Star Trek or Buck Rogers. The camera angle made this picture as great as it is. Taking the shot down toward it would've lessened the effectiveness of the shot for sure. I wouldn't change a thing. I wish it was mine.

I like the lighting, but it needs more (longer exposure). The color is a bit dull to me, I think it needs more saturation.

Very cool lighting! You should have named it "Technology City" or something like that because it looks like a city in the future.

I want to know how you did that lighting mod. It looks like all the solder spots are back lit, but how? UV Paint? Hmm that looks great.
