 This time of year I'm always busy picking raspberries in my garden, and making jelly out of them. Last year I had 17 jars, not bad for a small city-center garden!

Used the green and red channels to create a selection for separating the raspberry from the background. Used Hue/Saturation layer to desaturate the background, masked part of the layer to get the raspberry back in color. Also used a bit of dodging and burning on the raspberry to have it more evenly lit. Couldn't get rid of the artifacts in the red on top of the raspberry, apparently the red was already oversaturated in the original, seems to be a Sony problem.

Nice realistic red color. Might be better to move the frame up and right which would put the raspberry in the lower left and also show more of the leaves which are interesting.

very nice. I can see this on the wall of an upscale kitchen. I'll bet you're gonna be top 5 with this one :)

Good DOF and desaturation. I think cropping to make the subject more centralized may have been nice.

One of the few pictures that meets the challenge. And a great choice. Awesome dof - looks like it could be picked right from the monitor. Perfect workmanship on the desaturation. Very nice colors. There is too much negative space on the bottom, top and left side - a slightly different crop seems in order. Still - an excellent piece of work. Cropped, matted and framed - it will sell. Rated 9.

That bright red luscious raspberry stands out aginst the background, but IMHO the other berries in the cluster should have been red as well.

Lovely shot. I might suggest a tighter crop and maybe move the berry a bit off center. 7 from me.
