02/09/2009 11:04:21 AM

08/19/2007 04:21:35 PM
i haven't words...only a SONY make this...and a BenQ , isn't it ?
07/25/2006 02:33:42 AM
what a cooperative model. :)
03/10/2006 09:24:07 PM
lol I was about to ask what this was doing in the Nude gallery... but then again he's not wearing any clothes is he?
10/21/2005 04:40:26 PM
Don't eat that...it's not ripe yet. I couldn't help myself. Beautiful use of color.
06/17/2005 12:13:28 PM
How cool is this???? The composition and use of color is beyond perfect! Great!!!
09/29/2004 09:58:36 PM
My absolute favorite photo from this site. The colors, the subject, the simple absurdity of a frog in a spoon... I'm crazy about it! He's too cute!
08/16/2004 02:46:11 PM
Yay for frogs! How'd you get it not to hop?
05/15/2004 08:50:40 AM
Still one of my favorites!
01/18/2004 07:05:00 PM
This would make for a great print in a frame I love them little red belly frogs used to have a few for pets!
09/24/2003 05:41:59 PM
very cool photo...I love all the vivid, crisp color...nicely done.
11/20/2002 03:02:00 PM
Yeah, -hangs head-, sorry I didn't realize it was real. As I mentioned in my PM to Rackat I just assumed a frog-like being with those colourings would be too poisonous to use as a subject, so therefore it couldn't possibly be real. It is a really great photo though.
11/20/2002 02:31:00 PM
This is a well deserved win.
Curious as to why you haven't shared your setup/technique, most of us would like to learn from this photo.
Thanks.
11/20/2002 03:45:00 AM
Yes, I'd really like to see the technique to get the great colour background!
11/18/2002 09:08:00 PM
Id really like to see a setup shot on this, maybe one taken back several feet to get good idea how this was done. Always looking to learn as much as I can. I enjoy showing setups and sharing the know how. thanks! :)
11/18/2002 07:09:00 PM
Great photo. Super colors. I'm a newbie here, but I thought the rules said you couldn't doctor the photo. I had Oriental Fire Bellied Toads before. They didn't have red toes or that pattern on their chest. It was basically orange on the belly, no pattern. Is this a new type, or is it ok to play with colors?
11/18/2002 06:58:00 PM
Wow....Wow is all I can say! Extremely well/professionally executed. The background color works very well (especially the color variation). This toad definately has modelling aspirations! Very well deserved!
11/18/2002 02:48:00 PM

since it is a real frog, is it more awesome that it was to start with?
*******

it's a toad ;)
11/18/2002 01:57:00 PM
Somehow missed this one when voting. Congrats on a deserved win!

Gracechild7 - 11/11/2002
Nice colour. Would have been awesome if it was a real frog, but we do what we can. :)
******

I wanna know what gracechild thinks now... since it is a real frog, is it more awesome that it was to start with?

Rackat, excellent shot :)
11/18/2002 11:17:00 AM
Congratulations! Just like the rest of your photos this is supurb. Your colorful backgrounds are always so perfect! I see that I'm not the only one wanting to know how you get your backgrounds so perfect. Please share your secret. (I don't think you'll have anybody debating the worthiness of your win this week!
11/18/2002 10:00:00 AM
Congradulations on the great winning photo! Excellent! I'm also interested in how you did it. I read your comments. You could give some of us amateurs some pointers. It looks like you had top right and lower left lighting.
But I was also wondering what you used to hold the spoon and how you did the gradient background? I know that background can be done with software but how did you do it without software?
11/18/2002 08:14:00 AM
Congrats! I loved this shot the best. I cant even imagine how the hell 2 people gave you a 1 on this. A 10 from me by the way. Great job!
11/18/2002 08:05:00 AM
im glad this won. this was an incredible shot : ) ...
11/18/2002 04:48:00 AM
I am curious, what did u use to hold the spoon, and for a backdrop?
11/18/2002 02:00:00 AM
BRAVO! Perfect shot!
11/18/2002 01:00:00 AM
Awesome shot! One of my two 10's for the week. Congrats!
11/18/2002 12:18:00 AM
Thank you very kindly to everyone that took the time to comment! A couple of you thought this little guy was not real and referred to a white line in the photo. I was really stumped for a while about this and then I finally saw what I now believe to be a dog hair. He stays mainly in the water and gets pretty sticky when he starts to dry. He would tolerate shooting for about 2 minutes then off the spoon he'd hop, sometimes landing not quite on all fours. I would then pick the debris from the carpet off his sticky skin, and shoot for a couple more minutes before I put him up....guess I missed a hair and never noticed it in the shot. Amandolin, you are right! I was wondering if anyone would notice! He is actually an Oriental Fire Bellied Toad, but for title purposes he became a frog for the week.
11/18/2002 12:14:00 AM
simply beautiful. well done.

This shot ROCKS!!
11/17/2002 05:54:00 PM
I like how you have used the spoon to show the size of this little fellow. This is a remarkable photo. Love the toenail polish. Bet that took some time!!
11/17/2002 01:40:00 PM
That's pretty expressive for a frog. Have you thought about getting him an audition for a Bud commercial?
11/17/2002 11:47:00 AM
My definite #1 pick for the week! Incredible color. Focus is terrific. And the idea is just great! 10, just-married
11/16/2002 02:02:00 PM
Very creative. I like the bright, bold colors and the color-changing background. Nice work.
11/15/2002 11:29:00 PM

11/14/2002 06:37:00 PM
Definitely the best I've seen so far.
11/14/2002 02:12:00 PM
Outstanding! not sure about the angle of the light, but I love it none the less.
11/14/2002 12:46:00 PM
briliant photo.... (kinda strange title though)
11/14/2002 09:37:00 AM
Is this frog abuse? Or is it a rubber frog? Nice shot I have to admit!
11/14/2002 07:31:00 AM
Nice shot, I have some doubts on the choice of background, does not do justice to this frog.
11/14/2002 01:16:00 AM
beautiful choice of colors!
11/14/2002 01:02:00 AM
Love the toes. Who painted the toenails? Wild colors. Weird eye. Great way to indicate the size. Wouldn't have thought of that myself. Great idea. Wild back background but it sure goes with this dude. Great picture. He's a good 8 PTL
11/13/2002 11:16:00 PM
Beautiful and dramatic andrewm
11/13/2002 10:35:00 PM
Very nice!! Love the colors and the detail and the very tame, colorful background. Excellent photo - 10- Inspzil
11/13/2002 07:33:00 PM
That's too funny. -9-
11/13/2002 06:03:00 PM
Lovely frog and great shot, one of my favourites this week! IMHO it would be better with a less colourful or black background. This could highlight the nice colours of the frog, especially his red 'fingertips'. The colourful background is a little bit distracting from this detail. Nevertheless I voted 10. Good luck - nds
11/13/2002 05:32:00 PM
When this challenge is over, please tell how you did this. Great pic!!
11/13/2002 11:02:00 AM
My daughter loves frogs and she says that if this were a poster, she'd hang it in her room.
11/13/2002 07:25:00 AM
Outstanding photograph!
11/13/2002 02:52:00 AM
If you took this shot last week you got far to much time on your hands!
11/12/2002 11:08:00 PM
Great shot, colors are incredible and I like the gradient background too. Could be a ribbon winner. DPz
11/12/2002 09:42:00 PM

Absolutely Fantastic! Hows did you do this? The winner for sure!
11/12/2002 06:56:00 PM
Umm...isn't that a fire-belly TOAD?
11/12/2002 05:37:00 PM
excellent nail job, seriously a great shot
11/12/2002 05:36:00 PM
Love the photo, but it doesn't look real!
11/12/2002 05:02:00 PM

11/12/2002 01:19:00 PM

looks cut out with photoshop. i can see the white line. but as a picture i like it very much
11/11/2002 07:08:00 PM
Love it!! The background colors are beautiful, and the frog - well - if you can get a frog to sit like that, you deserve a 10! lhall

A ten, of course.

Wonderful. My 10 year old loved it.
11/11/2002 12:11:00 PM
I love this photo! He{or she} is so cute he almost doesn't look real!
11/11/2002 11:05:00 AM
Good photo. The colours seem extremely bright. I'm not sure if that's a problem or just down the true colours of the frog and background.

I think I'd prefer it if everything were a little higher in the frame. Not too sure where the frog doing the eating comes in though! 9/10
11/11/2002 06:43:00 AM
Awsome. This is a reach out and grab you shot.
11/11/2002 02:38:00 AM
It's a shame it's nose/snout doesn't quite seem to be in focus... Otherwise, an excellent photo!
11/11/2002 02:35:00 AM
Nice colour. Would have been awesome if it was a real frog, but we do what we can. :)
11/11/2002 02:23:00 AM
Great shot! I love your colour
11/11/2002 01:11:00 AM
Very weird colors, looks a little fake and the frog likks like a cutout or something because of that white line.
11/11/2002 12:55:00 AM
That little fellow is going to get lots of comments, I see a winner here!
11/11/2002 12:54:00 AM
This has to be B.G's work! Ten! Ten! Ten!
