this was our budgerigar charlie this morning having a quick shower after his breakfast and exercises !!! usually i cup both my hands together and he splashes around in the bath i've formed with my hands which i could'v done if i had three arms .. two for his bath and one to hold the camera .. !!

budgies love the water .. well most of them do .. ppl often have little plastic baths for them to splash around in .. they need to get wet for their general well being i've been told ..
i usually have the water a bit warmer than comes out'v the cold tap .. and after he's had a bath i make sure his cage isnt in a draft or a cold place so he doesnt get a chill .. near a window with the sun coming in is good if its not a very hot day ..

My mom has a small lovebird and it loves to take a bath/shower too. I am always amazed at how strong the stream can be and they still enjoy it very much. this is a great action shot roz - love the water splashes!
My mother will just love this shot when I show it to her .
She is a big time budgie lover ,but the bird she has now just don't want to learn any tricks.

It looks like Charlie is enjoying that. I didn't realize it's okay to wash them. After our Bowie fell into the honey I had no choice but to rinse him under the tap, but it worried me to do it.
