Last week I took some shots like this and when the challenge was announced I thought they would fit well so I went back and took some more. I used burst mode on the camera (hand-held) and took over 500 shots trying to get a good wave crash.

totally brilliant shot karen .. love the way you've caught the spray .. reminds me of bird's feathers/wings in motion .. :)

Very elegant colour scheme. The detail is wonderful. Love the surface of the closest rocks and tiny trees in a far distance. Fantastic shot. 10.
