I rarely feel the need to counter someone in comments like this, but there is clearly effort behind this. It may not have come off with as much visual impact as other entries in this challenge, but without the use of HDR this would have been a dark tunnel, and it certainly shows the use of the technique.

I'm with Steve on this one, it is clearly HDR and very well done at that

Good demonstration of bringing up details in the shadows. 8

I think the processing is very nicely done here, lots of details brought out. Just the subject and composition are not terribly interesting.

The 'light at the end of the tunnel' is a little distracting. Nice clean lines on the rest though.

No HDR, no high vote. I would generally abide by the rule that you shouldn't judge a photo only on how it meets the challenge. But it doesn't look like you put any effort to make this HDR at all...

At first I didn't quite understand or see how HDR was used here, But upon second look I see that you may have used it to bring up the detail inside the tunnel? It still lacks a point of interest.

I shall be rating this challenge by the following criteria:

1 - Not HDR in my opinion

3 - HDR is way over-done, in my opinion

5 - A reasonable use of HDR, but not a very engaging photo, in my opinion

7 - A reasonable use of HDR, and an engaging photo, in my opinion

10 - A fantastic use of HDR, and an out of this world photo, in my opinion

Your photo receives:

A realistic and effective use of HDR to show all the details in this. As an artistic piece of photography, I'm not caring much for the composition of the scene. The tunnel entry being cut off at the top seems a problem to me, and I think overall the comp could have been done from a more interesting perspective. Again, you did great on the actual usage of HDR and I have to give you a positive vote for that.

This is a very good use of the HDR technique. I hope it finishes well. 8
