 for the september macro side challenge

i noticed this caterpillar in his cocoon on the firetrail .. he was obviously going somewhere & didnt stop moving for a second except if he pulled right back into his cocoon when something scared him .. probably me .. !! .. i took some shots and went on my way .. had a look at them in the shade and thought of something different that i'd like to try with him .. i'd marked where he was so i could find him again just in case .. so i went back .. no more than 5 minutes had passed but he had disappeared .. not sure if it was coz of his natural camouflage or that he was a fast mover .. !!

A leopard caterpillar ! You do find some neat bugs my dear ! I'm intrigued by the cocoon structure...

Or lunch for some bird. eheh This is the strangest caterpillar image I have seen in a long time. What a great capture, and what luck\chance.
