for the september macro side challenge

i was sitting outside and noticed this tiny little spider .. might be a jumping spider .. he was less than 3/8" including his legs .. 36mm kenko extension tube on 100mm lens .. this has also been cropped ..

he had eyes on the back of his head and on top as well as the four large ones at the front .. talk about being prepared .. !!!

another view ..

Eyes in the back of his head? Must be a teacher ... ;-)

Fantastic shot. I love the way you've processed it too.

I wonder if his eyes are compound eyes or just normal ones? They look like they are not from the pic. He looks like he's from another planet. Fantastic capture. I like the original too. It gives me a better idea how small he actually is.

It's almost as if he has eyebrows!

I really hate hairy spiders. I can't look at it anymore (shiver).

Poor guy - all the other bugs teased him and called him four-eyes. :)

This is awesome Roz, I'd love to see what the original looks like for an idea of how tight you cropped it, those little buggers are small and even with my 25MM on them I have to crop quit a bit, and I never end up with something this nice!
