One of the fearless, raucous little Catbirds who frequent my birdfeeders. You can just see the red under the tail which is its one spot of color.

Like the light and bokeh in this shot, and the sort of pensive look (though he was probably plotting something).

PP - converted from RAW, white balance, levels, cropped a little, dodged bird in a few places, cloned suet cake off his beak, reduced noise, increased contrast, resized, sharpened.

I love the bokeh here as well. I am a huge fan of bokeh. I like his head-tilt, and I like how the perch is diagonal across the frame. I like these birds, they typically will let me get fairly close :) The image seems to have a greenish tint to me, even on the bird.

Very nice all the way around. I agree that the light and bokeh are excellent. The angle of the shot is superb!!

Just a beautiful shot altogether Mary ... he does indeed have his eye on you but it's the b/g that just makes this shot stand out ...... very well done!

oh wow, love the way you capture this little bird! The tilt of the head, appears like he knows he is being watched! :o)

The shallow DOF is very right for this. The POV gives a nice perspective of the subject. Good shot.
