I'd cut up some old cherries and put them in a shallow bowl for butterfly bait. A downpour made them into a deadly cherry soup. Overcast skies. No polarizer, obviously. Very little PP.

I should add that for me - only one butterfly, a mourning cloak, was attracted with this fruitbait method. For attracting yellowjackets though, it was excellent :0

Nope no white layer - it's all skanky water on a cloudy day ;-) Thanks !

I mean the death is part, not the butterfly bait.

Interesting that you try to bait butterflies. I've never tried that.

I have some old cherries I was going to throw away. I think I might make butterfly bait too.

Is that a horse fly? Looks kind of creepy entombed like he is. Great image.

Oh yeah, don't eat the cherries, fly should be sweet though... mmm

Awesome! This would make an excellent large framed still life for your dining room. :)
