this is charlie our young budgie ..
it's such a typical budgie pose .. pretty funny especially how he's fluffed up his feathers .. shame i cant show you an action shot when he starts bobbing ... its hilarious .. :)

he's now saying ..
who's a pretty boy
who's a pretty bird
bird .. birdie ..
the bird is a pretty boy ..

come on
copies my laugh
copies the sound doves wings make when they take off
he's saying other stuff but i cant remember right now ..
but i've decided to teach him "arr me hearties" ..!!!

this is one of the bird flying .. its not a great shot but i think its cute ..

He's a sweetie Roz. I am happy to hear that he is talking already. One of my fav things that my African Grey, Sammy says is "Work Work Work.......Whew!" Be listening for Charlie to begin copying the sounds he hears a lot, like the chink of the shutter tripping.

Lovely shot of Charlie, Roz. Those budgies certainly develop a love of self, don't they? Then again, maybe they really think they've found a friend.

This is actually kind of sad and touching - there are the two in the foreground, friends for life it seems, and the poor single bird in the background, alone and left out. (And yes, I know there's just the one somewhat vain bird.)
