Fort Worth Stockyards. Make note of the cheap souvenir and gift shop to the far left. The stockyards is no longer a working stockyards, but rather, is the local tourist trap.

To answer some of the questions about what they were coming from and if people really dress like this here:

I believe these folks were probably coming from a rodeo, stock show, or some similar event. This is appropriate and normal clothing for people that participate in those things. It is as normal as an executive wearing a suit or a chef wearing an apron. I've gotten comments before suggesting people don't really dress like this. This is Fort Worth, they do.

There are some actors who regularly perform in the stockyards for the tourists, and I have entered photos of some of those folks in challenges before, but these are not performers.

It's a shame I didn't have this shot for the last street photography challenge.

Why don't cowboys wear capri pants? Far less tucking and no one would ever know.

How cool. See if I were visiting Texas I'd want to see locals dressed like this!

It is indeed interesting that some people don't realize there are people who really do dress this way. Not an act, not a gimmick, just a way of life. Add to that the weight limit sign and you got yourself one very fine snapshot!

Now it's been pointed out I'm drawn to that shirt sleeve thing. Perhaps they are preparing for work experience with a vet lol

And are these paid actors there for the benefit of the tourists, or do locals actually go about looking like this?

Nice photo... great colour and composition.

Interesting shot. Are the people just tourists or are they part of the show?

They may have been coming from a rodeo or other such contest, but I don't know about the shirt sleeves.
