 put in dpc for the august snapshots side challenge

this was about 15 minutes ago ..
i was working at the computer and heard an almighty bang on the window in the other room.
went to have a look and there was this bird on the ground with a whole lot of honey eaters around that seemed to be attacking it ... i think this bird attacks their nests ..
this is a honeyeater ...

after shooing away the other birds i went to get a towel to protect it from the other birds and to possibly move it with ..
i also brought my camera out ..
she made a couple of chirping noises after i took this shot and then died ..
found out later that she's a female satin bower bird ..

What a pretty looking bird, too bad she died. I sometimes have birds flying into my windows too.

Oh Rozzy, this makes me sad too.. It doesn't look ready to die but am guessing it had internal injuries.. They fly into the window as they think it's a clear passage..

You have some gorgeous birds there! Both of them are pretty neat looking. The blue eyes are striking, but so is the depth of the colors in the feathers. They transition to and from all manner of colors, and has a lovely texture/pattern as well.

That's a sad story. He doesn't look ready to die. His blue eye is incredible.
