Meet another one of my street friends. I really searched for someone totally different looking than the scruffy looking old street gentleman smoking. I think Ernie basssman7 is actually right about this type of portrait becoming too unoriginal (sorry). But I only had one afternoon to myself the week of the challenge, and he was the only face I saw that was more interesting than tourists eating ice cream.

He was with another guy who had a similar look but just wasn't as comfy with the camera. And actually, they were pretty fun to hang out with. I bet I stayed and talked with them a good half hour or 45 minutes. They were very funny and made me laugh!! They teased me about my determination to include a good dose of their smoke in the photo. They were fascinated that "Barbie" was so "dern interested in cigarette smoke" :) But when I showed them the picture in my view finder, he agreed that it was in fact pretty cool looking.

Anyway, thanks for a great score for an unoriginal photo.

I thought this might be yours! You do great character study portraits. And of course I like to come here and get the story behind the photo :) The eyes really catch your attention and the smoke is very cool. Congrats on a great finish and I'm glad to see you jumping in and doing well again :)

This is a great photo, but I think it would have been made better with his hand showing whatever he is smoking.
