Well I did not expect to do mums again but they had them at one of my florists and since the others were closed because of festivities near and far I was stumped. Of the 4 subjects I shot, I felt these came out best. I also learned another method to assimlate the duotone look that you can see in the post.

Shot with camera on tripod and cable remote release. Use 4 clamp lamps each with a 100w energy saving bulb.

Post: Camera Raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0.
Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation.
Adjust sharpness.
Color selected a brownish gold hue.
Made new layer and filled with the above color.
Changed blend mode to color.
Selected background layer and removed color to lighten.
Merge down.
Resize.
USM.

Oh wow. Lovely. This just screams "notice me" with that black background and almost glowing tips. I really like this. (not voting)

This is simply lovely. The duotone really works well here.

IMO you have pushed the tone a bit to much...you have a pretty good shot, might have straightened it a bit more and cropped to "fill" the frame with the flowers but to me I personally don't like how "far" the tone was taken...
