Ingrid - it's beautiful. And you get to look at it in all weathers and seasons. Have you documented some of these changes? Of course you have.
this reminds me of the time when I was in the thriving town of Weed, California, chasing an open space to catch the sunset over Mount Shasta. I finally found a spot on a residential street - set up the tripod in the middle of the street, dodging power lines and the like, when a nice lady came out of her house and called out: "you can shoot from my back yard if you'd like." Well.... it was just a wonderful unretricted view of a spectacular scene and I will someday hunt up the image from that occasion and show it.
The point being, you too have a spectacular view. And you never know who will land on your doorstep.
