Two horses at the local stable where they do trail rides through the Santa Monica mountains.

Per Deb's request:
Went back to my psd, but I don't think it has everything. Did 2 black and white conversions. Did a black layer fill, soft light, opacity 16%. Selective color, Hue saturation, levels. Duped the background a couple of times, one soft light, one vivid light. Added some layers, tinted but can't remember how I got the color. Color Efex darken/ligthen center, but should have moved the center to the horse looking at us. Slight Lucis Arts. Threw in a couple of textures. Brightness contrast and sharpened. I don't know. I just go wild sometimes and I don't know how I got there. :)

Horses make such wonderful subjects. They're so interested in what we're doing and they love the attention as well. Nicely processed.

Wonderful. I like that the "negative" space between the horses is dead in the middle. What a muzzle!! Love your editing.

This is excellent! I love the perspective, the horse looking into the camera, the tones...everything is spot on for me!

Having just a touch of the great outdoors in the background sets the horses and stable into context. Textures on the ground against the smooth metal fencing well captured. Nice of the horse to look right into the camera.

I agree that the sepia is perfect for this shot. The letterbox process also suits it very well. Nicely captured.

"Hey why the long face"
Sorry couldn't resist that lol
Nice use of sepia tones here and I like the diagonals that you have created and the way the horse is looking straight at us.
