 Backyard-marching shoes/trombone
Only editing-light levels

Pity the man who says that marching band isn't a sport-pity him more who tells me!
Reasons why:
1. Our uniforms cost more than any other sport--and WE pay for it all! Those football players have no idea how good they have it.
2. Instead of plays, we have pages. We don't stop in between every single one.
3. Lift up your toes! No other sport requires an extreme angle between your toes and the field.
4. We do all this at the same time:
-Walk/Jazz Run---IN TIME!
-Count
-Play a song--and not just any easy tune
-Stand up straight--STRAIGHTER!
-Horns at 10 degree angles!
-Crescendo!
-Back step(not looking at the ground)
5. Shows can be 15 minutes or less, getting everything on and off the field, plus the show in there!
6. Those moves make you sweat!
7. You can replace a ball, but a $5000 Sousaphone gets pretty darn expensive--especially when the Gov't is cutting funds--yet they still fund other sports! And who has the winning record??? Give you a hint--the one whose equipment costs more than the teacher's salary!

I'm not quite sure what sport this is? To improve the photo a think a less-centered composition would help, and also a light USM to sharpen it up a little.

really rich greens. I'm wondering if the shoes should have been placed maybe to the left bottom corner a bit and the trumpet more to the right. There's something just slightly off with teh balance. However, a really good idea for this challenge. Good luck.

Those white uniform shoes make a very boring subject. Isn't there a colorful hat or jacket that goes with a band uniform that you could have shown instead? The trombone is a much more interesting subject but it is obscured by the shoes. dddddd

Well, marching band isn't really a sport, unless you're considering the Rose Bowl's 6-mile hike or other long parades = P
