I think one of the obvious light sources was flash. This looks like an image that has been washed of detail because of close-up, front flash. This isn't the best approach to the subject matter which depends on color and texture for its visual appeal.

parts of this shot are really nice. Washed out at the top of the leaf which slightly spoils it for me. Good luck

I can see what you're getting at with this shot, but it's just too iver exposed for me, and the dead-center composition dosn't work that well for this subject.

ahem. So much flash that it's difficult to tell if there actually is another light source. Obviously you've done this deliberately, from your title, but I don't find anything of interest here.

Way overexposed - too muhc detail is washed out. Also, there's nothing of particular interest to make this accessible.

There's bright, then there's over exposed. This is pushing very dangerously into that area. I'd use a more severe crop, maybe just the tip 1/3 of the leaf with black going to the right. I'd also up the color saturation.
