feeling very uninspired but wanted to do something for may overlays ..
took a macro shot today of some seed i've been growing for charlie the budgie .. i think it might be millet .. the seed you see under his beak should be about 10 times smaller in comparison to him ..
brought in another photograph taken when we were going thru the car wash as an overlay/texture ..
brought in pic of charlie eating some of the same seed ..
unfortunately he's been diagnosed with a condition called scaley face mites he looks worse in colour at the moment so i desaturated him
if you're interested you can click here its a budgie site .. you can see wot it looks like really close up .. could be helpful for anyone who has a budgie with this condition .. didnt even realise he had a problem till i took a very close up shot ... thought he was a female with a scaley cere ..
anyhoooooo .. scaled up charlie 400% and duplicated twice .. had them in overlay, soft light and normal blending modes ..
i also increased the canvas size so the scaled up charlie images formed a sort'v border around the pic of the seed/overlay ..
did a softening in a program called Tiffen .
sorry if this isnt making much sense ..
i had two hours sleep last night and 've now been up for 19 hours .. ]goodnighit !!

Wow, just wow! And below his beak, it almost looks like a raptor head as well!

Roz with the blahs! Doesn't it just show? LOL. This is still bloody brilliant, Roz, so sweet dreams, and maybe your inspiration will be back when you wake up.

It is hard to get all the steps, especially when you retrace your steps, delete, redo, etc. It created a very interesting abstract. Has a feeling of indecision, which can be inspiring in itself.

Poor Charlie. At least you can rid him of his mites and take a closeup for us when he's looking (& feeling) better!

From what i remember from my bird that had the same thing (long time ago) parrafin was a good solution for up to 4 weeks rubbed on the beak. But it can and probably will travel to the eyes and legs, you should take him to the vets just to be sure.

I have no idea how you achieved what you did, but it's a winner!

Birdie eats a rainbow lunch. I'm not going to read what all you did. I'm just going to look at it and be amazed. You are amazing.
