This was fun. The trick was figuring out how to accomplish the picture I had in my head. I needed a sheet of ice that was fairly large and wouldn't fit in my side-by-side freezer. I finally hit on it by pouring water onto a 22x30 piece of plexiglass and freezing it with a 10 pound block of dry ice.

I can post a few setup shots if the pic does well. I mounted the camera on my tripod over the tub face down. I filled the tub with lukewarm water (not too hot, the ice will melt), put on a jacket and got in. Jenn then handed me the plexiglass and I held it above me while dunking my head under. Because I was trying to limit the bubbled I got a ton of water up my nose each time, but it's worth the price eh?

Wowsers!! I jumped out of my skin when this opened up. A very freaky, frightening pic, even before I saw the title. Very well depicted. That actually is what I consider an extremely horrifying way to go. Ever since I saw the movie 'The Omen' as a child. Man, you really struck a nerve with me. But that is (IMO) what photography as art is about, invoking a strong reaction in the viewer, whether positive, or negative. So well done, and a 10 from me. Now excuse me while I go try to 'un-freak out'. :-)
