this was taken in july last year .. i noticed it, half processed, in a folder today ..
thought i'd give it a bit of a pencil look etc etc ..
its not a composite .. just thought i'd mention that coz now ppl sometimes think that one of my photographs is a merging of more than one .. :)
the four lambs grew up and are very happy .. the lamb that was a ram my brother kept as a pet so that he wouldnt get eaten .. the rest were ewes so their natural life span on this earth was assured .. :)
january 2010 ... i had this printed on a dpc cup and gave it to my brother for christmas coz crusher is his dog .. only a month or so after crusher got a tick bite and died .. he was very old and a bit wobbly on his legs so the affect of the tick wasnt noticeable until it was too late .. the crazy thing was that they had checked him over for ticks regularly .. i was with them one time and they spent an hour feeling thru his fur ..
The softness you put into this shot really lends itself to the animals and to your explanation. Did you use some LucisArt here, Roz? The ever so soft x pattern makes me think so.
One of my favorites (from your fantastic portfolio), to date.
I'm glad these lambs were spared the carving knife, I am opposed to commercially raised veal and do not eat any red meat at all. This is a charming photo and tells a story. I like the PP and sketchlike effect which is exceptional. I think going thru our old images is a great way to expand our skills and improve older images. It's also a lot of fun experimenting. Good job!
your a poster child for the humane society. if animals can get along why can't us humans. in this side wonk you have taken us on a polar opposite trip. from your hard edged mechanicals and bug macros to this. the versatility and variety is outstanding. an absolutely amazing tour.
So adorable! Do rams make good pets? I assume he's an outdoor pet, he doesn't like come sit on the couch and watch tv with your brother. LOL! Wonderfully processed!
OH~ lambs and pups. AUGHHHH You are killing me. We don't have many sheep here - too hot for the varieties that live in rural America. There is one herd, but I never can capture them because of where they are located in relationship to the road to get there. This is just sweet sweet. I love the sense of a pencil drawing. Thanks for making me smile. :~)
Gorgeous Roz, I have just a second to peek in at DPC. We're getting ready for our son and his girlfriend to visit and I promise to come back and gaze some more.
