today i went into the grass near the house to see if there were any bugs to photograph .. hanging out a bit coz i havent shot any for a while .. saw this frog ..
there are lots of frogs in the grass now whereas a few weeks ago there were heaps of insects .. the frogs are much harder to photograph than the insects coz they dont usually let you anywhere near them and hide in the grass so that you dont have a clear shot ..
i was able to get two shots of this little guy before he hopped away .
used two overlay/textures of squiggley gum bark that i photographed on the firetrail ..

Oh! Love this! I love frogs anyway. The reflection is perfection! He looks like he's giving himself a critial inspection before his big date!

eta: I love Judy's little poem!

He's a classic, Roz! Like something out of Alice Though The Looking Glass, he could be the Cheshire Frog sitting on a leaf. Unique depiction!

the curious case of the little frog
who fell in love down in the bog
he knew not that the face he'd seen
was of himself all soft and green

He looks like he's sitting in his cozy cave waiting for the princess. If she finds him, that's great; if not, he's just fine where he is.

Interesting combo of layers.

Beautiful little froggy. Love the bright green against the black. Is the water real? Looks good, and so does the overlay.
