 I'm thrilled to get the posthumous ribbon for this. It's been a secret goal of mine that I honestly never thought I'd achieve. I'm most happy, though, that someone saw what I saw in this image -- thanks, Don.

I am very disappointed in the darkness issue. I edited this on a brand new laptop and the image looks brilliant on it. I didn't think to calibrate, and that was obviously a problem. The lighting is subtle, but just what I wanted as I am seeing it. At some later point, I'll try to upload a new version edited with a calibrated monitor.

Aw, it's a cutie! I think the lighting is a little dark, but you captured a great moment with the tear and I'm sure this is a subject that's very close to your heart :)

There is some haloing around the right side, and the tear really adds a bit of "personality" to the kid.

I have no idea why I love Manet so much more than his contemporaries. I have no idea why I need to give this a ribbon. Everything is so accidental and so perfect at the same time... including the light. the colors are exquisite. I'm just speechless about this. It's... it's.. Vermeer meets Gerber's.

The lighting truly lets this image down.

The child is lovely, sorry to see the tears, but the lack of good lighting detracts from the child.
