I love this in black and white, all the negative space is fun.

Nicely minimal with no other marks in the sand to distract. The bold angular lettering on the towel also contrasts well with the girl.

What an amazing shot... such great composition, so simple yet powerful, no part of the frame is lost yet all conspires to bring attention to the subject. And the subject gives as a glimpse of life that is so hard to get, but so amazing when captured like this. This shot belongs in any photography book that I've ever seen. Going straight to favs.

Reminds me of my daughter - all wrapped up in a towel, and intent on what she is doing.

Love the footprints, very nice shot. Would have liked a little more head room--seems a little squished at the top.

Is the heart-shaped footprint the hidden gem?

It's a lovely capture.

This does give the impression of being all alone. Makes me wonder what she is thinking. It's one of those good shots that probably just does not have enough wow factor to score highly here, which is a shame. If this is your own kid, this is certainly one that would be great to have on your wall.

Simple yet powerful. LOVE that extra footprint top left, and the gradient light on the sand. The towel is a very strong graphic, and the trench in the sand adds a raw element.

One of the things I like about this is that I can't read what's written on the towel. Adds mystery.

This is nice but I would have preferred to see more of the footprints she has left behind and virgin sand in front of her

A lovely isolated subject and a very clean image. I wish her face was as sharp as the towel.

This shot eludes to a possible story but doesn't explain anything. There is potential here but it just didn't make it.

Very nice idea. The moved sand takes out a few point. It would of been perfect with only a few foot steps behind the girl.
