Where? I like this presentation.
03/17/2009 07:26:31 PM
It's a bit small on the size, so it's hard to critique. Also, it looks like you have some sensor dust that could be cloned out. I like the sepia.

Not voting.
03/17/2009 03:51:07 PM
Beautiful scene.... just wish that the photo was larger.

This loaded a little small, but it's a powerful image none-the-less. The spray and the height of the cliffs are both powerful details and images.
03/17/2009 07:05:46 AM
great toning despite the overexposure of waves I give six ;)
03/17/2009 06:23:06 AM
Strong composition, nice sepia conversion. 7
03/16/2009 06:19:02 PM
like that the cliffs themselves could almost pass for the hulls of ships themselves. sepia unexpected but works well. 9

Nice selection of shot, but you reduced it to 500 pixels. You should have used the 720 allowed. This shot shows the power of the ocean with the carved out cliffs leacing to the unseen shore.
03/16/2009 03:06:14 AM
Well captured and presented.
03/15/2009 07:37:37 PM
Ah man, if this was bigger and with a bit more contrast in the rocks to the left this would be great. Oh, and if you cloned that bit of dust out of the top centre too it would be even better.

Another entry that I wish was bigger; Its hard to appreciate the detail at this size. Looks like there's an odd dot just above the top of the cliff that could have been edited out.

I like the lines leading your eye out between the cliffs.
03/15/2009 10:05:39 AM
Those cliffs are amazing, good detail in them. The water is a bit blown out though and your photo is a bit too small for this challenge.
03/15/2009 09:54:00 AM
no details in the whites hurts this image. the small size uploaded does not help either
03/15/2009 09:41:16 AM
Photo is small, which is a real shame because this is beautiful.. Nice B&W conversion and a great location.
03/14/2009 08:28:16 PM
Wow. That looks like some rough waters and steep cliffs. Nice use of contrast.
03/14/2009 07:42:11 PM
Such a rough look. I wouldn't want to be there. Nice job.
03/14/2009 06:29:18 PM
The spot in the center just about the rock is quite distracting for me. Wish this image was a little larger - would bring out more detail.
03/14/2009 02:51:49 PM
Wish it was a little sharper--it's a cool shot!
03/14/2009 02:39:56 PM
Powerful cliffs. Some loss of detail.
03/14/2009 12:19:56 PM
toning works, but the waves could use a bit more detail imo
03/14/2009 09:44:23 AM
I like what the sepia does for this.
03/14/2009 02:50:18 AM
This is a really nice shot. I bet you are getting quite a few comments about it being too small. I think a bigger picture would help us all to see how great it is.
03/14/2009 12:59:44 AM
I like the sepia, too bad this isn't larger. It looks like a bit of sensor dust above cliff, but doesn't hurt your score.
03/13/2009 11:47:35 PM
sensor dust?
03/13/2009 07:53:52 PM
I like the processing and textures. But I am not finding the composition as interesting. Maybe shooting a bit higher- a little less of the foreground and more of the rocks?
03/13/2009 06:20:13 PM
Nice and sharp, I like the color treatment but I wish it were a bit bigger.
03/13/2009 05:42:18 PM
Wonderful image, the detail and textures are great.
03/13/2009 05:19:52 PM
Gorgeous texture and tones.
03/13/2009 04:28:25 PM
Very nice detail shot. Good tone and contrast. 7
03/13/2009 02:49:19 PM
wish this were larger to highlight the details in your image ...
03/13/2009 01:28:30 PM
Looks like a great location, it makes me wish this was larger. You can study up on how to reduce the compression and still keep the maximum (720 pixel) size. It may be a bird, but there's a spot above the cliff at the upper ceneter that looks to me like a spot that could be cloned out.
03/13/2009 12:55:50 PM
This would probably have been a great shot if it wasn't so small. Looks like there's a bit of sensor dust there, too.
03/13/2009 12:55:17 PM
ya got a spot on your sensor...just above the cliffs in the center left...wonderful tones
03/13/2009 12:05:21 PM
wow, this is beautiful
03/13/2009 12:03:55 PM
Very nice in monochrome! There's a great tutorial under the "Learn" tab about how to resize pictures for the best possible impact in challenges. Member challenges and those open challenges under advanced editing can be 720 pixels on the long side.
03/13/2009 12:01:02 PM
looks like a great place to photograph, wonder what it would look like in color
03/13/2009 10:16:14 AM
Somewhat small, but the rocks and waves looks beautiful!
03/13/2009 02:06:03 AM
I think this would have had more impact if you had used the full 720 pixel length allowed. Also, I can't help noticing a big spot of sensor dust. Other than that, I really like the tones and the monochrome treatment.
03/12/2009 11:02:21 PM
love the moody feel
03/12/2009 10:18:16 PM
I bet this place is wonderful! The only two things I see that I might have change is the front wave, just a little blown out and a dark spot above the cliff could have been cloned out
03/12/2009 08:43:54 PM
Very dramatic scene, but you posted it too small. Always try to use the full size that DPC gives for challenge entries. I like the sepia toning, and it fits the image well. I do wish that you'd taken that sensor dust out, though.
03/12/2009 08:08:29 PM
Small but dramatic...
03/12/2009 07:33:43 PM
Beautiful part of the world. Nicely captured.
03/12/2009 06:43:37 PM
A little small and I can see some sensor dust but its got great tones and the subject rocks!
03/12/2009 04:54:38 PM
Nice location and capture. Bigger would have been nice, but still a good shot.
03/12/2009 03:33:45 PM
Good idea. Maybe color would've helped.
03/12/2009 02:47:27 PM
the sensor spot is unfortunate in such a great photo.
03/12/2009 02:47:01 PM
nice tone to this
03/12/2009 01:56:07 PM
Wow, those cliffs look beyond huge. Looks like you have a couple of dust specs in your photo.
03/12/2009 09:38:46 AM
looks dangerous to navigate!
03/12/2009 08:24:27 AM
Feels like Lochard Gorge. I love that place. THe sepia adds to the historical nature of that place, although the edges of the rock look a little to sharply cut out, and the sky is a bit to dramatic / noisy

03/12/2009 07:14:34 AM
Very nice textures in the cliffs. It would have been good to make use of the full 720 pixel size limit, and the sensor dust is really obvious - it would have been good to clone that out.

03/12/2009 02:48:58 AM
Whoa! Powerful!
03/11/2009 11:47:19 PM
I like the tones.. the sky is kind of funky
03/11/2009 11:07:47 PM
I liek the movement of the water between the 2 sides.
03/11/2009 04:22:33 PM
great composition, but you will get voted down because of the size of the photo

Very vivid. I see a few spots I might have removed.

too small
03/11/2009 09:35:00 AM
Would have been nice to see this in full resolution!

different perspective of L.A.G not so much angle but the tonal colors .. such a beautiful place not sure i would have taken the colors from the gorge

03/11/2009 03:37:53 AM
A bit on the small side. You are allowed up to 720 px on the long side.
03/11/2009 02:27:10 AM
Lovely place, lovely shot.
03/11/2009 01:08:09 AM
Lovely shot! Were you on a boat?
03/11/2009 12:50:03 AM
Nice composition. Like the space between the rocks. Makes me think the sea made its own way through. Like the tone as well.
