 Taken before joining DPC... this has always been one of my favorites. From a Fujifilm S5000 3 mp camera (6 mp interpolated).

pp: Duplicate layer, high pass filter w/ overlay, clone out dust/particles, flatten, new dupe layer for virtual photographer "fall colors" warming filter, USM, clone halo from roof, flatten, resize and save for web.

its shame those people are walking, I think it'd be nicer if they just stared at the sunset... but i understand that you probably couldnt arrange them lol

I like how the sun glares through the slats. Wonderful color in the sky, and nice silhouette, but the reflection on the water looks oversharpened.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was the point of this image, but I don't like how the sun is chopped into 3 bits by the pier. Nice silhouette, though.

Love everything about this shot BUT the sun itself! The bright spots pulls your eyes away from the rest of the beauty of the shot.

I love that you can just read the "Open" sign. Between that the sun coming through the pier almost forming a face of sorts, this is a very welcoming and friendly photo - looks to be a nice place to be!
