Even though the whites are blown, this is still a very nice photo and I don't think it would be as good if the older man weren't there.

Swans are so white they are hard to shoot. This is very nice - I especially like the building at the far end of the water.

Nice street photo. Usually you see a lot of ducks, but having this many swans is unexpected.

I really like the aloneness of the one man. Makes me wonder about his life and how many times he comes here to feed the swans.

it is a plus to have converted this to black and white - I think color would have taken away from the feel. I like his placement, but the balance somehow seems off with the band of white at the top - there is nothing that balances it. will think on this one some more.

would have liked to see the colors
03/11/2009 06:35:31 AM
too busy, my eyes keep wandering around. contrast is too high, lights are blown
03/11/2009 05:42:26 AM
nice candid moment. I know the angle doesnt help but would of like a closer crop to bring more intimacy into the shot.

I love the old country feel of this. I can't tell if the guy is feeding the swans or not, they don't seem to be attracted to him. Minor nit-pick is the tail of the front swan is cut off. It may have been better to crop above it's head and enlarge it all more.
