Simple...I do find the b&W tones really appealing. They allow me to appreciate the rough texture of the woods and metal.

Good B&W conversion and detail in the wood. I'm guessing your angle is intentional, but it is a bit unsettling for me. Not that it's a bad thing.

The horizontal format is leading my eye away from the locks. I wonder if a square crop might keep the viewer focused.
