Interesting use of light and shadow. A bit barren landscape.

I really like the look of the snow, I just love snow when it sparkles in the sunlight. I'm not getting the significance of the fruit.

Interesting, oranges on snow...an orange frosty....

A little too centred , recommend that you be bolder and move the pair more off centre, add a little fill using a reflector or just a white piece of paper.

Nothing here really draws me into the picture, the subject of fruit is rather uninteresting.

nice use of snow for the base, just could have use a little fill on the oranges. use a reflector?, but not enough to eliminate the shadow

detail isn't too bad but not a lot of an interest in the subject

I think the snow is a cool backdrop for subjects, but this seems a little dark to me. The sparkles are great.

Interesting contrasts- the tropical fruits in what looks like snow along with the big/ small and colorful/ white.

I like the texture of the citrus and the snow, but I think a little bit is lost at this angle. Maybe if this was shot with the sun behind your left shoulder, looking at the fruit, the lighting would show us more of the textures.

nice light, makes good colors. but too much shadow in the citruses in my opinion, they would look better positioned towards the right of the image.

I wish the composition was tighter and there was a bit more light on your subjects.

The details on the front of the fruits are a little dark.

The subjects lighting is distracting (shadows). The composition works fine but is rather bland...

03/11/2009 09:32:14 PM
need to have your light from this side or do some step photography and move to the other side of the orange...the colors (shadows) on the orange are a bit to dark for me

03/11/2009 04:19:02 PM
The snow is a good idea for a backdrop, very pretty. The light may be a little harsh as we are on the opposite side where it is very dark. Maybe a different angle?.... or some hold something reflective to your left to bounce the light back at the dark side of the orange?

doesnt really captivate me and the composition doesnt establish a theme/concept for me

Cute idea, think it would work even more with more lighting from the front.

and a little dark. good shadows, but the orange texture gets lost in the shadows.
