I would like to thank everyone for all of their wonderful comments during the challenge. While I didn't do as well as I had hoped, it could have always been worse. I fought back and forth about what photo to enter for this and while I think the ither one might have done a little better, I wanted to submit something unique. The other photo was of the Painted Hills in Oregon. You can see it here:

Another one of my challenge favorites that didn't score nearly as high as I expected it too. I thought this was an amazing shot and gave it a 10...

Very interesting button mushroom shapes with the snow on the bushes (I guess). It would be better to use the 720 pixels rather than 584. It would bring out more detail. This works well in the sepia look.

This is so strange and interesting, definitely different from the other stuff.

Nice fantasy like image. Dr. Suess does indeed come to mind.

I love the title, it is prefect. Great use of light.

Most definitely Seussish looking. I can't do a Seuss rhyme, but at this stage of the voting I am sure you already have several creative ones.

That's gorgeous. I wish the foreground didn't get progressively lighter towards the bottom, but that nit aside I totally love it!

Nice shot. I'm not a fan of the horizon being dead center though. Maybe from a lower angle? Still like the tones and the shot itself though. 6

Is this in SPringfield MA? Great tones.
Post actions
This is really cool. The processing gives it such an alien land feel.
Post actions
I would love to see this bigger! Beautiful.

The shapes really do look like something from Dr. Seuss, but the tones and colors are quite the opposite. Great depth with the layers of fog in the background.
Post actions
The toning really makes this shot

Very cool looking trees, Seuss-like indeed!

Good eye and imagination.... 6

Very nice image. It's good to see a few "great" images. This is a perfect reflection of your abilities as a photographer.

How bizarre.. Not sure if you know computer games, but this looks like a landscape from Morrowind or something.. niec old age processing as well. 7

This is so interesting. I love it.

Dr. Seuss would be proud! Very other-worldly.
Post actions
Nice. It does indeed look like Suess-ian trees.
Post actions
Dreary. Nice idea. And the snow. Wow! Unusual.

This such an incredible alien landscape - somewhat threatening, almost nightmarish. Weird, strange - pretty impressive really!
Post actions
This is wonderful. When the image came up it made me smile. I don't know if it's the tone, the lighting, the depth, the fog, the shapes, or what. It's all wonderful. A fave.

ha ha...read the title...nice tones

Very interesting shot, I like the composition and tones, feels a little dark though?

Strange and dark view, but I like it. Nice all those round shaped trees with snow on it.

It really is quite whimsical...snow can do the most wonderful things.
Post actions
Really nice photo even without the clever title, but I'm giving you an extra point for the clever title. (Love the toning)
Post actions
This really DOES remind me of Dr. Seuss!! It could, however, use some sharpening and I'm not sure if the monochromatic works for me.
Post actions
This is so neat! I love the editing here. 10 from me.
Post actions
I do like the processing. The bushes in the front overpower everything else in the photo.
Post actions
Beautiful tones and subject. Good detail.
Post actions
this makes for an interesting image, not being really sure what kind of trees those are, nice sepia tones
Post actions
great pp work, this really makes a cool abstracty shot
Post actions
An interesting idea but I think the title carries it a bit too much... plus the image doesn't really have a very Dr. Seuss feel beyond the subject... it feels very drab and antiquated.
Post actions
Cool! The perspective makes it look like your looking down on larger trees. Good use of sepia tones.
Post actions
Funky trees, they do look like they are out of a cartoon
Post actions
Does look like Suess Land. Nice tones.
Post actions
Sort of looks like a Dr Suess landscape. Nice shot.
Post actions
This is very inspirational! I really love this concept.
