You have probably heard this 20 times already, but this cow is not centered in the picture!!! Nice shot though.
05/22/2004 08:36:22 PM
Oooops. It's just slightly low of center. :)

Cowspace revisited but still good

Reminds me of one of the Negative space photos.
Pretty good, I like the green grass, it's greener in your photo than in my garden ;-)

There's a strikingly similar shot here on DPC, but this is great in its own right. Well done.

looks perfectly centered to me....I really like this negetive space shot. If I could vote it would be a nine....good job

Lovely, but a tad overexposed. I'd love to have seen more sky detail. The overal gamma seems very high. Not sure a square crop is the best choice here, a portrait oriented shot with loads of sky would have been the most effective, like some of Remie's shots.

excellent photo. i wish you had a better sky to work with (darker toward the bottom so that the cow doesn't blend into the background).

I believe the challenge details state that the subject should be dead center, and this image may be voted down for that. This shot reminds me of Cowspace by Remie (in the top site favs). The cow seems a bit overexposed, but it is a lovely shot. 9

I like! A polarizer might have made the sky better. But I'm nit picking here. 9

a little too high-key for me, but brought down a touch it's my favourite image in the whole challenge. I love it. 9 P

Having the horizon very low in an image can produce a dramatic effect by miniturizing objects against a large field, however the challenge was to have the main subject dead center. If I were to rate this without respect to the challenge I would give it a 7, but since it doesn't meet the challenge (IMHO) I can only give it a 4, sorry.

great shot, but youll get bashed for it not being centered.

This is an excellent shot and done any other way would have lessened the emotion of the picture. I give this picture high marks on it's own, but for the challenge where I perceived dead center to be both horizontal and vertical I can not give the highest mark. Excellent Picture this is a keeper.

yep great composition! Maybe the grass is a bit over saturated, but on the other hand that works well in this picture!! (and knowing the cow doesn't even know he's the center of attention over here makes it even more nice!!)

okay - to counteract the literal "dead Center" people, i am giving this a 10 because it is lovely. And because it tells a story of sprng. Poor skinny cow can now eat all the green grass she wants. must have been a hard winter for her.

Terrific composition, a bit over exposed. 7

This could be a Ben and Jerry's add. Hope you didn't get comments about not having vertical centering because I realyl enjoy this image. The cow seems a bit overexposed, but I don't think you could beat the composition.
