Psalm 23 - The Psalm of David

1.) The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2.) He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3.) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4.) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5.) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6.) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The remarks I didn't check as 'helpful' were because those people had 'signed up' to make a certain number of comments. Why? To get some extra 'side' award or something?

Very good light here and a photo that tells a sad story. (I am assuming he is homeless but he could very well be resting and/or praying)

At least he's got a sleeping bag, but it looks like it is in pretty rough shape. Don't get the connection with the Psalm of David.

I'm trying to understand this picture and the tile .. i guess should read the psalm of David. Nevetheless, whatever is written in there or about this person's expression is quite deep and troubled.

Very emotive.

Hrm. I don't know how this relates to the Psalm of David at any stage of his life. Maybe a bit closer to the story of Job who lost his possessions, children, wife and dignity.

there's definitely a flavor in the pic though.
03/11/2009 02:51:24 AM
I think the lack of sharpness detracts from this image. Additionally a crop so tight takes away some of the 'story'.
