What this is is a light, the shade is the black square with a blue, glass insert, the bulb was a halogen light, with a cube cage around it, the lines did not really show when the light was on but shadowed when shot with the camera.
The light fixture was at the end of a hallway.
Post processing was align, and crop.
The illusion was that if you moved your head the blue square acted like it was floating around and the center light circle played tricks like expanding and contracting.
If you really saw the light fixture in its area you would never really know that the lines were there until you took the picture. I shot it because I just wanted the little black square with the blue center piece.

| I must be daft - I don't see the illusion :( I've sat and stared for quite a while now, I have to move on to the next. ... Third time around, I've sat and stared for a few more minutes. Whatever the illusion you have caused me to view your photo longer than any other in the challenge, bumping up your score! |
