 Unconventional - My Way - #1

I took this shot with the Skin challenge in mind, but opted not to enter it as such confronting images rarely do well with the voting public on DPC. However, I'm quite fond of the image and really feel the need to share it with the "The Unconventional Side Challenge" crew.

I agree with the paper mache look.. wonder how it became so well preserved. It's eerie in its own way. A very provocative image.

Great shot and composition. It's a little hard to look at, but not so hard that I don't see that it's good.

Yeah uummm, yuck! But, very cool. It would have gotten hammered in a challenge. If you can manage to keep it around long enough, the bones would also make a cool shot.

aghhhhhhhhhh !!!
i think i can smell it from here .. lol . altho by now its probably lost that powerful dead smell ..
it is a confronting image, and not many people like to see death in its ugliness ..
its an interesting shot for its details .. like the decomposition .. all the hair nearly gone .. the ears gone entirely .. the skull becoming visible .. etc etc .. cant help feeling sorry for the little guy even if he was a rodent .. hope he's in a happier place chasing a huge block of cheese .. lol ..
changed my mind, i think he'd prefer to be in a place where he can eat as much grain as he wants .. :)
