Great Aunt and Great Niece.
My aunt is exactly 70 years older than my daughter and yet they seem to have a lot in common.

I love this picture because it means a lot to me.

Basic shot using SB800 mounted on the camera and a black backdrop in the form of a reflector case.

Very little messing in PP

Too bad they aren't interacting. The toning is interesting, yet something still seems off. I guess it's that neither of them are connecting with either the viewer or each other. They might as well be 10 feet apart.

Interesting juxtopositon here, I think it would look cool in color as well.

good study in contrasts, perhaps your sepia is a bit heavy handed

I think that the color treatment is the most detracting part from this image. I think the lighting choices are interesting.

I wish they were interacting more, they just don't look comfortable together. A nice clear photo but not so sure about the yellow tones.

The tones (yellowish on my screen) doesn't go down too well with me. sorry The contrast between the two ladies is nice though, 6

Love the contrast here between the old and young person. It's very telling and profound. Well done! 8.

I like what you've done here; they are quite captivating and I like how they are not looking at the camera. I'm not really fond of the yellowish tone, perhaps you were going for sepia and it looks yellowish on my monitor. I wonder how this would look with the girl looking at her elder, using more of a profile.

No offense, but just because <- she's old and she's -> young doesn't mean that they really represent "wisdom vs youth".

Now, regarding the picture, yes, it's nicely captured, well lit and well processed, but the facial expressions just don't speak to me. There's nothing about either of these two people that really says anything about them beyond their simple age.

Sorry. Average.

This looks a little to yellow, I would have toned down the saturation a bit more. I find it interesting that they are both staring off the frame but in opposite directions.

I really like the processing - the duotone is a nice choice, and I love the detail and level of sharpness.

nice shot, but in my opinion the light is a little to harsh on the girls face.

An interesting photo, but the lighting is not very strong on the subjects, and neither are making a connection with the viewer. A good concept though.

I like the picture, but I would've preferred to see it in black and white without the yellow. Good capture of the two of them though.

without suspecting you of cheating: I have the impression of a collage of two images (I know, it isn't), the two persons don't seem to interact, looks like they are from different worlds; the different amount of light on the two faces enhances the impression.
Sepia toning is a good choice, but the saturation is too high.
