Twist off top from plastic Diet Pepsi bottle, light from window behind the desk. Exercise in noticing beauty in the most mundane aspects of everyday life.

_____________
This could have had an ambiguous title, like "Plastic blues", "Garbage", "Late night at the office", or "Blues again", or a directive title like "Thought provoking". That could have positioned this as a puzzle, and probably would have boosted the score.
Instead, I deliberately selected a mundane, literal title. The intent of the image is to communicate that even a bit of "trash" plastic can be transformed by light and imagination. I am quite confident this is not "just" a bottle cap.
I totally agree with ubique that this ordinary object can tickle the creative thoughts of anyone willing to really look at it, perhaps appearing as a space ship, alien outhouse, office building reflection, tavern alley windows, mad scientist house, basement lab experiment, or almost anything. Having comments from several people who noticed this (perhaps in spite of the literal title) is a great reward. Thanks to each of you.

I agree with Paul that your title probably held back a few from imagining what might be here. I'm often drawn to the ordinary - amazing what little bits of magic can be found there. To me, it's a corporate building, with pretend windows - the kind you can sorta see from the outside but there's nothing to see out of from the inside.
I always look at the photo first to pinpoint the subject and sometimes figure out what it is. Obviously I know the subject but had no clue what it was until I looked at the title.
I wish you had used a less expository title, because this could otherwise be so many things, all of which are more interesting than a bottle cap. A strange illuminated sign. A pleasingly incomprehensible art installation. A vending machine selling the latest energy drink (Blue Bull, perhaps). A bus stop shelter at the North Pole. Lots more, all fun. Are you quite sure it's just a bottle cap?
