Kollin, I still love it! Eventhough it didn't place the highest. =(

Great fun, great expression on the model. My missus always looks dead miserable when I want her to pose. The focus is a bit to sharp on the fish, and the light on the lady a bit too hot on the left of the picture.

Pretty cool illusion, but....if whe really had this sturgeon, it would be on the floor already (her grip is really loose!), I know, you couldn't get her fingers all the way around the tail. (I see the string too!) Funny! 8 Swash
(she must be really strong! she's not straining at all!!!)

The lighting is to direct for me on this one. You can see the string on the top of the fish

Great idea...the hand doesn't quite do it...needs to be tighter.

I think a more "natural" or outdoorsy background would have made this more effective. I am mostly wondering why you would own a fish like that! :-) karmat

Great picture, great illusion! My only complaint is that I can still see the fishing line. =P

that fish is friggin' huge.
the nice lady's face is just short of blown out, maybe just a little easy on the lighting next time.

she dosent seem to be holdoing it either

For a second I was wondering why this didn't have an admin note (because at first glance it seems a likely candiate for one). Then I saw the string. Different lighting may have hidden that, and perhaps a little photo editing might have helped. But spiffy none the less.

The light is a bit bright on the woman. I can see the string on the fish, but what made me look for it was the fact that her fingers were not actually holding the fish!

loaded finally - nice colors, looks old fashioned - iron the backdrop next time - too much light on the left - 6

too bad the string is showing =P
10/28/2002 07:44:00 PM
this reminds me of old movies where you can see all the stings on the stunt people. Oh man, how to even score this elludes me.
10/28/2002 06:14:00 PM
I like the overall result. It could use a better background, plus better focus on the woman's face
10/28/2002 02:59:00 PM
The lighting is a bit harsh and the focus seems slightly soft
10/28/2002 12:31:00 PM
funny.
Not sure if I like the lighting on her face, I think a soft fill light over your right shoulder would of helped.
Also, that sheet needs an ironing! :)

Are you sure it was 5 minutes? I know, I know it was a last minute thing.... Good luck anyway - Inspzil

I like the picture, the expression, the concept , the humor in it ... but maybe it's only me ... I really totally not like seeing the fabric in the background. You should try a different setup, longer focal. The light is a little too bright int he upper left corner. 5 as it , a potential 7 for me. Lionel

Play around with the light(s), it doesn't make a nice piture the way it is done now. The fish is ok, but the lady is blown out on one side and too much in the shade on the other side. Sloppy background and the line where the fish hangs on is still visable.
10/28/2002 12:52:00 AM
The lighting is a bit bright on the left side but otherwise not bad.
10/28/2002 12:50:00 AM
the side lighting is a little too dominant, and the female subject is oout of focus.
