This photo was my #1 - I cannot understand why you are at 30th here. This is a beauty!

Great big old horse, clydsdale? nice detail and the subjects are finely focused and the exposure is spot on (hate that expression but it works here: the exposure is really good!). Nice DOF and I like the parallels of the post in front and the edifice in the background...nice touch. and since those parallels are so well presented I do not mind the static composition of the subjects as they work well in against the parallels....only nit...wish the sky was blue...cain't have everything and I think this is great!

One of my favorites this challenge. There's a lot to like: natural frame of the rail, excellent dof, nice tight cropping, full face of the horse but the profile of the groomer puts has me focus on the horse first, wonderful candid.

Good detail and exposure. The textures on the horses, roof, and pole is great and all share complimentary tones. Shame about the overcast 'blown' sky, but that was partly why you had good lighting on the rest of the image. Neat shot.

Excellent DOF to have captured the horse and the groomer in focus. I'll be very surprised if this doesn't show up top-5, maybe even top-3. Good work and good luck.

The lighting is excellent in this shot. Great detail, nothing overexposed. Even without motion blur you've conveyed the action in the scene with the position of the man's arm. Great composition!

Nice range of browns - I love the hairy texture - that winter coat is coming off! Wish you had framed this with the barn above the action - rather than the horses ears popping over the top - a solid background would keep my eyes from wandering up to the sky.

I just love this one. It's so sharp and in focus and the colours are amazing. You've really captured movement, subject, everything - told a story, etc., Really wonderful composition - 10.
