Great layout and execution. The exposure is wonderful and the focus and DOF is great.

I like this idea, and it meets the challenge nicely and creatively. I think the picture would be improved if the sides of the game board formed the edges of the picture (no table showing). You'd have to shoot straight down on the game board. I also think it would have been better in color to take advantage of those colored squares.

A very ORIGINAL idea! I'm sure you gave a few folks a chuckle. Photographically - it's a pleasing image, but not really "exciting." Overall - a strong entry.

Would of looked better in color. 6

Very creative, I like the duotone. I might've borrowed some of the missing letters from someone else's scrabble, and cropped for perspective on the top and bottom. 9.

Brilliant idea, well executed and well presented. I counted 21 Opposites (including the black and white of the photo and the scrabble logos, perhaps there are more? The only criticism is that photographically its a little flat, fiddling with the levels may help or paying more attention to the lighting in the first place. Excellent submission among some real howlers anyway....9

Nice job! Funny too...

why the keystone perspective? either shoot at a lower more dynamic angle or from square up for the static image. It seems to me this angle straddles the fence and is hurt for it.

Clever idea. Nice perspective. What's with the missing letters, though?

Needs more contrast, if you shoot from directly above you will eliminate the table from the shot. All in all an original idea. 6

great idea, well done. -9

Great concept!

I'll give you an E for effort. Interesting take on the challenge, certainly unique. Photgraphically, I think it would look better in color and from directly above the board. The perspective in this view makes the top of the board look smaller

Very clever.

more contrast..... but why shoot this image
05/12/2004 08:06:33 PM
That must've taken some time to set up. Good work.

Perhaps one of the most apt shots in the entire challenge regarding the subject matter. Props on setting all this up! Lovely.

I wonder what it would look like as a true overhead shot. Good concept.

I love this idea! I would have enjoyed seeing a hand putting down one of the last tiles. But still a very cute, original idea. The best one I've seen so far.

Very original idea. I would have shot it with the camera facing the board straight on instead of at an angle.
