What an excellent capture. It appears that you used HDR and quite effectively too. (I hate when it results in a really overprocessed look).

Great shot.

Such a beautiful scene. I can feel the magic in the moment captured in this photograph - can almost hear all the laughter and merriment. I'd love to visit there on a day like this. I have no idea why the voters aren't being kinder to you in these free studies. You have a really nice style. Keep at it.

I don't know why people invoke either Norman Rockwell or Currier & Ives. for me this is a clear reference to Pieter Brueghel the Elder, especially since it is taken in Holland. Great work!

Well that looks like a damn nice place to live. Wouldn't mind having an ice rink in my backyard!

WOW - to me, who lives in sunny Australia, this looks like a beautiful scene out of a movie.

Really beautiful photo. Looks like a painting. Almost wish it had a little more contrast but still a beautiful photo overall. 9

Oooo... how modern Norman Rockwell, love it! Since I keep coming back to look at this one, it deserves to be bumped...

Wow a Currier and Ives reproduction! Truly looks like a timeless seasonal holiday card with your processing. That's supposed to be a compliment.

Almost reminds me of a Thomas Kincaid painting. Lots to enjoy here.

A very pleasant Currier & Ives style photo. Very well done in terms of subject choice, composition, capture and presentation. There seems to be some haloing around the tree line, but it could be natural. Be careful of that as you do your post processing.

This picture has so many interesting spaces. My eye keeps moving to a new part of the image and finding something new. The lighting is wonderful and warm.

Nice scene, reminds me of Christmas cards I get from my grandmother. On my monitor, there are noticeable halos around the figures on the ice and the trees against the sky. It almost gives it a 3-D feel, but I think I'd prefer it without the halos.

A nice wintery scene. Looks like you brought down the highlights in the sky so much that you can really see a halo effect in the trees, though.
