A portrait of my daughter I took while shooting her for this year's Christmas Card. She's 2 1/2 and was so excited about Christmas this year. It really did make the holiday more magical. :)

Thank you so much! Someone added it as their favorite photograph, which is a first for me so I was excited about that.

Really cute, and you can read on her face what she's thinking.

This looks like it could have been taken a hundred years ago. Very nicely done.

What did she see there, in that glittering ball, a symbol of joy and happiness? What did she see as she gazed in to the hazy opaqueness that only barely reflected the light? Surely she saw something, as her smile showed a certain recognition, as her eyes reflected a definite knowing gleam.

What did she see there?

We may never know, those of us with minds that have moved on from that magical place that is almost the sole providence of a child. We may never know, but whatever it is, let it shape her desires and imagination and wonder, so that her future can be filled with them all, and her growth may be shaped by everything that we may never know.

what a pretty child...but her hair is soooo stringy (this from a hair dresser) trim her hair...get rid of the baby stuff....and this would be a great shot...her expression is price less, colors a just a little dull

Nice soft focus portrait. Not sure I like the choice of reddish background color. Reminds me of dried blood.
