this is charlie who is quite young and very new to the family seeing we've only had him five days .. we got him from a pet shop and they have clipped his wings .. that's ok temporarily coz it helps to get them used to you, and also he can be out'v his cage without being difficult to catch ..
the temporary condition is that he looks like he really wants to get out'v the cage and of course the clipped wings ..
when i have a budgie their cage doors are usually open a lot of the time so they can come and go as they wish .. they are a very interactive pet and like to be part of the family .. also they are pretty funny which is a bonus .. AND SMART .. !!
i asked pixelpig how she got the line drawing look she's been using and she said it was the find edges action .. i use another method but went to have a look anyway and came on glowing edges that i havent used for a long while .. i used glowing edges in soft light blending mode to achieve this look and a few other things as well .. :)

This is a really cool effect. We haven't had a bird for ages, but you are right about budgies being funny. A funny budgie story- our budgie, Bowie was flying around the kitchen, landed on the rim of a honey bucket, and fell in. I wish I had photos, but I didn't think of anything but cleaning him up, (under a running tap).

From the thumbnail I thought this was a radiator with something on it! Cool processing, this thing just glows.

He looks so pitiful in that cage! The shadows of the bars look like those straps they use to tie mental patients down in the movies. It'll be more fun for everyone when he can have a little freedom.

Mystic Bird! Love this effect, Roz!! How does Katee like Charlie? Is there any jealousy? I hope Charlie socializes soon and comes out of the cage. Love your photos of the new family member.

This is fun! My first impression was the front grill of an automobile. LOL. Thi is fun, because I discovered it as I looked. Those feet are hilarious! I'm glad you're having fun with this. You can put the glowing edges filter on a separate layer, set the blend mode to PIN light, flatten, select/copy, go back 3 steps, insert, & set blend mode to Multiply or Soft Light. This has an interesting effect.
