The motion in the little girl is what catches my eye first. Compositionally she is in the right place with respect to her motion, however the background beyond the central tree is distracting. Cropping this image at about the fifth rung of the slide's ladder but keeping the width would probably give it more impact and would isolate the subject better.

It looks like it was a grey day giving flat light. The image also seems slightly under exposed.

Keep shooting.

Thank you all for the comments. I see from the comments I may have fared better entering the blurry pics of her spinning on the merry go round. Or the dark closeup of her on top of the slide. I am learning a great deal. Thanks again.

Natalie is certainly a well adjusted child to put up with this degree of rust in her playground. I wish that car was out of the picture. A little cloning can easily remove it. I like the motion blur on Natalie and the focus throughout. A little brightening of the image would not hurt if the contrast can be maintained. Nice colors and wonderful composition and framing.

An 8.

Slightly OOF. Look like it was cropped in really close. Sky is overexposed at top. Cropping it out all together may have been wise.

Could be cute but lacks sharpness and complimentary lighting.

Comes across as a snapshot. Use creative angles, put Natalie at the top of the slide and take a photo from the bottom looking up at a steep angle (making sure to get some rust textures in the picture). Or, take the same photo but have Natalie spinning on the wheel and capture a motion shot.

You wanna call the Council about that tetanus extravaganza

imho the shot may have be much more dramatic had you closed in on natalie and the rusty parts of the playland more

A closer image would have been better, the focus is slightly off and there is just too much going on. Needs a focal point. Nice try though!

Without the title, I wouldn't make a connection with rust. Something closer up on the merry-go-round (I assume that's what's rusty), to make the rust more a part of the composition, would have worked better.
