I love high key images and I'm entering this shot even though high key takes a beating most of the time at DPC. I wanted to do a different kind of self portrait for the masters and for me...not evil or goofy. This pose & shot weren't exactly what I was going for but of all the pic's I took I liked the soft feel of this one best so up it goes...OK DPC, I'm ready for my beating.

Shot in our studio on a white paper backdrop. Lit with a single flash. Shot in RAW - RAW conversions. CS3 - levels, superfunhappy, neat image, dodge/burn, minor cloning, convert to b&w, unsharp mask, blur, crop, border, save for web.

Great take on the high key theme. So used to seeing headshots used but this is so different and fantastically well done.

A 6.67 with a commenter average over 8 is the kind of beating I'd take any day! :-)

Right next door to each other...very odd. Nice image, great in B&W.

I knew it was you! I thought I had written a comment during the challenge, but apparently I couldn't find the words to describe how awesome this shot is of you. It's so delicate and caring.

I think it's funny that the two of you finished side by side. Great image

Beautiful! Great composition. Perfect expression and looks great in light on white. The lighting and shadows is excellent. 10

I think the title's a little obtuse, but the strength of this image defrays the need for a title at all. 8

The graphical shape is a little distrubing to me, but the overall feel makes up for it. 10

I'm not really a 'People' person and prefer Scenic photos. But, this is excellent and it's not about personal taste is it: 10

Lovely shades, almost looks like a pencil sketch at first. I really dig the pose, the lighting & the post work on this - bravo! -- 9 --

In the morning hour
She waits
For a heartbeat
A sigh
A whisper
And she remembers

I'm not trying to be another K10DGuy with my "poem" comment, but some photos just move me. I write little poems off and on and after seeing this photo and thinking about it for a while, the poem came to me. I love the whiteness of the image (high-key, over exposure, whatever you want to call it). I love her pose and her gaze. She has a lot on her mind, we can't tell if it is happy or sad memories, probably a little of both. It might have been a tad bit better if she were nude and you could not see the bit of clothing, but because it's white it doesn't make that much of a difference. This looks like aimeethetoo so whoever took this photo, Tim or Aimee, you've done a wonderful job and it's very deserving of a 10. I don't normally "go crazy" for people photos, it takes a special one to move me.

beautiful photo, nice processing, interesting pose. I get a strange feeling that something is missing. Oh yes, I think I am searching for her body which is completely obscured by her hands. I am sure that was your idea, but I would probably changed POV a little bit to the right and lower...

I really, really like this except for the fact that it looks like she has no body -- her head almost looks attached to her legs.

I like high key images but this perspective makes her look as if she has no body.

Is this with a super-wide angle? It stretches her legs too much and makes them look odd with the rest of her body. The high-key, however, is very well processed. This almost looks like Aimee. 7
