Okay, first off, thanks for all of the votes and a top 10 finish! I can't believe it!
This was an interesting photo experience. Myself, my wife and 3 year old daughter decided to visit the Makapu'u Lighthouse on Oahu's east coast.
We arrived a little late that evening, around 5:30pm. When we started climbing up the long, semi-steep lighthouse trail, the sun was already setting behind Koko Head Crater.
When we made it to the top, we were the only people still up there and it was getting dark fast. I rushed over to this lookout point, set up the tripod and framed this shot. My wife kept yelling "hurry up, it's getting dark!" and took off with our daughter to see the lighthouse.
Well, to cut down on time, I shot this at ISO 800 and the packed up the tripod and went to catch up with my girls who were already heading back down the trail.
I never saw the lighthouse nor took any pictures of it. But, it's ok, I guess I can always go there again, right?
I'm amazed how well the photo turned out being shot at ISO 800. I'm a firm believe that the camera doesn't matter but this never would've looked this good with my old D70 at that speed. There's simply no noise in the shot, even when viewed at 100%.
Also, the Tokina 11-16mm performs well at 16mm on a full frame camera...but the corners never completely sharpen up, as expected.

extremely dramatic vista - the lines and angles really make the shot - the colors seem a bit too saturated for my taste but I am sure other DPC voters will love it so it is a good choice here
