 This is a shot of a wonderful young model called Samantha-I
We took her to this burned out section of woodland for a shoot. A lot of the images were really good and showed a lot more desolation and carnage than this one does, however, This shot shows a lot more 'SURVIVOR' than the others and the B&W just sets it off a treat.

As this is my first ever masters challenge I can enter I will be extremely happy if I finish top 10, there are going to be some absolute CRACKING! shots in this challenge, I can feel it in my water.

Wow! How exotically dramatic! Man! Congratulations on such a phenomenal showing in a challenge I was too intimidated to even enter. (That and nothing I shot turned out worth two hoots)

I like the thought, but a dress? Seems more "survived a sexual assault" more than anything else and I'm not quite sure that's what you were going for. Her hair is awesome and you did well to capture those highlights. 6

great work. Love the light, and focus, and BW. Not quite sure about the right hand being cut, but that is a small nitpick. Overall, a very good image.

Interesting subject, gains my interest but I feel the b/w conversion is a little flat, I would like to see a bit more depth in the b/w contrast.

Fantastic, one of my four 10's in the challenge. It's got such a great mood to the shot. The composition is spot on with the OOF trees in the background really balancing the shot nicely. The sharpness in the hair and dress really make this shot as well as the excellent toning and PP. Love it!

Now this is cool. You've created something really unique here. I would like to see her features a bit more in her face, but the shadows work really nicely as well.

like the lines of the trees and her arms creating some really interesting shapes. Really enjoy all of the out of focus space on the left with just a hint of treeness

Kind of an overly busy background bokeh, but I guess it contributes to the off-kilter feeling of the wardrobe & pose. Nice model & I like the simple composition & story-telling here. -- 7 --
