 This is a twisty bit of bamboo! PP crop, rotate, then selected the different sections of the bamboo, boosted the hue on some parts to red and desaturated other bits for the black. Neat imaged, resize, USM, border and save for web!

Not sure how well this'll do, the background is a bit noisy due to high ISO and I know how fussy DPC can be about noise. Est 5.7 - I'd like 6 or above!

A stumper, so meets the challenge. I am afraid to actually know what this is. Otherwise, it's pretty dark and I'm not resonating with the subject.

In Christmas colors, no less. I like the curves and lighting. It appears plant-like but I can't guess any more specifically than that!

I like the colors. The photo seems a litttle too dark for me. Good use of DOF and I like the composition of the photo.

Whatever it is, its got my attention!
The lighting could use a little lower fstop or longer exposure for some better contrast.
