The challenge states that if you can identify it as an object, then it's not an abstract. I can clearly identify this, so I'm not really sure it meets the challenges idea of abstract, however, I do believe it is well done. The texture and detail are both good. Focus and clarity are excellent. And there is nothing distracting with the lighting. Overall really nice shot, just maybe not abstract enough for the challenge. ~Heather~

This might have been more abstract had you not chosedn to include so much of the quilt pattern in the shot...like the idea, just too much info to be abstract enought to me...nice still or detail shot.

A quilt.. how is this abstract?

If it is recognizable as an object - it is not an abstract

With a pattern such as this, taken so close to the subject, the centre of said subject should really ought to be, erm, centred. In my opinion anyways. Actually (notwithstanding recent discussions in the forums) presenting this in a square-shaped format, and perhaps with an image taken directly over the middle of the pattern, might have worked better. A bit of reduction in brightness, and a bit of noise reduction could have also maximsed the overall effect.

Quilt? Nice shape and colors, but lighting is a bit flat. Plus I can tell what this is.
